Glen Carlou Merlot 2018

R110.00

R110.00 | Club R93.50

The vines planted in Alluvial soils with good drainage, resulting in small concentrated berries, which delivers a well balanced wine that offers intense fruit flavours. The softness and fleshiness of Merlot makes it a popular grape for blending.

The palate is medium/full bodied, reeling juicy fruit, with a wonderful texture, fine grained tannins and a silky finish.

Tasting Notes

Beautiful on both nose and palate with hints of mint and violets, ripe raspberries, red cherry and black-currant. Subtle oak, with an intriguing complexity. This wine has a textured mid-palate outlining finely grained tannins, framing concentrated fruit flavours. This is an honest expression of an individual grape made into a delightful wine.
