The prestigious Quartz Stone Chardonnay is made from a single vineyard which is the oldest block of Chardonnay on the property which was planted in 1989. The soil found in this block is decomposed granite with significant amounts of quartz in it, hence its name.

 

 

Each year this vineyard produces fruit of great depth and concentration and wine of exceptional quality and elegance.

Tasting Notes

There are tantalising and distinctive fruit notes of citrus, green apple and peach stone fruit. Butterscotch and lime notes on the mid-palate follow through to an extended aftertaste of citrus marmalade with a delicate almond finish.
